During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, San Francisco Audiology is commitment to bringing better hearing to San Francisco with support for breast cancer awareness through participation in the national “Pink with a Purpose” campaign. Throughout September and October, San Francisco Audiology joins with leading hearing care manufacturer Oticon, Inc. to support the National Breast Cancer Coalition to find a cure for a disease that represents one of every three cancers diagnosed in women.
Through the Pink with a Purpose campaign, Oticon annually donates to the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) to fund research to end breast cancer. In 2013, Oticon presented a check for more than $10,000 to NBCC.
A special edition pink Alta hearing device is the centerpiece of the national campaign that allows people to benefit from a hearing solution that provides a richer, more personalized sound experience and, at the same time, show their support for a very worthy cause.
Breast cancer is an issue that touches many people on a very personal level. Everyone knows someone – a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother or friend who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The Pink with a Purpose campaign allows San Francisco Audiology to continue its focus on improving the hearing health of people in San Francisco and at the same time, to help support research to end breast cancer.
In addition to the special pink edition, Alta is available in a variety of small and sleek styles and colors to suit individual preferences.
